ProMounts Launches Pro Compounds for Recycled Nylon Compounds Manufacturing in America
After 20+ years in business, we’re bringing manufacturing back to America.
I’m proud to announce that ProMounts has launched Pro Compounds, a new American manufacturing brand based in Irvine, California, focused on PA66 recycled nylon, recycled polyamide solutions, and high-performance nylon compounds.
For more than two decades, we remained loyal to our American retail partners, supporting their growth, investing in product development, and standing by them through some of the most challenging times in our industry.
Unfortunately, that loyalty was not always returned.
While American companies invested in innovation, product development, and building retail markets, many major U.S. retailers increasingly bypassed their American suppliers and took their business directly to Chinese factories.
In doing so, they helped strengthen China’s manufacturing capabilities, supply chains, and economy—while weakening the American businesses that helped build their product categories in the first place.
We helped build the business. They helped build China’s manufacturing dominance.
Instead of watching American manufacturing, innovation, and jobs move overseas, we chose a different path.
We’ve joined forces with some of the brightest minds in polymer science, chemical engineering, and advanced plastics manufacturing to transform recycled carpet and other recovered industrial scrap into high-performance PA6, PA66, and reinforced nylon compounds.
Our approach supports a circular economy by turning recovered materials into valuable manufacturing resources while helping reduce waste and dependence on virgin nylon where appropriate.
These recycled nylon compounds are designed for injection molding evaluation and production applications, with options that include general purpose material, unreinforced options, impact modified options, and glass reinforced options.
For manufacturers, PA66 recycled nylon can offer a balance of mechanical performance, dimensional stability, and high temperature resistance, depending on formulation and end-use requirements. Glass fiber reinforced grades may also be considered for structural applications where added stiffness is needed.
